Forgiveness is the key to action and freedom....

To be free in an age like ours, one must be in a position of authority. That in itself would be enough to make me ambitious.

By its very nature the beautiful is isolated from everything else. From beauty no road leads to reality.

This is the precept by which I have lived: Prepare for the worst expect the best and take what comes.

Here is the amazing thing about Easter the Resurrection Sunday for Christians is this, that Christ in the dying moments on the cross gives us the greatest illustration of forgiveness possible.

Forgiveness is the economy of the heart... forgiveness saves the expense of anger, the cost of hatred, the waste of spirits.

Holding on to anger, resentment and hurt only gives you tense muscles, a headache and a sore jaw from clenching your teeth. Forgiveness gives you back the laughter and the lightness in your life.

Genuine forgiveness does not deny anger but faces it head-on.

Books were my pass to personal freedom. I learned to read at age three, and soon discovered there was a whole world to conquer that went beyond our farm in Mississippi.

Before anything else, we need a new age of Enlightenment. Our present political systems must relinquish their claims on truth, justice and freedom and have to replace them with the search for truth, justice, freedom and reason.
